ONE Elite Staffing has partnered with City of Dallas and is seeking a part time Legislative Bill Analyst.

LEGISLATIVE BILL ANALYST

Job Description :

The legislative bill analyst will support the City Attorney's Office of Dallas in tracking legislation during the 89th legislative session. In this role, the employee will :

Duties :

• Read legislation filed in both the Texas House and Texas Senate throughout session.
• Categorize legislation impacting the City of Dallas for tracking purposes.
• Review and summarize tracked legislation at the direction of the state legislative director.
• Monitor changes to tracked bills and provide updates to the state legislative director.
• Maintain the tracked legislation data within the Telicon system used by the City of Dallas.

Education :

• Bachelor's degree in political science, law, public policy, or a related field is preferred.

Experience :

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in legislative analysis or a related role.

Requirements :

• Strong understanding of the legislative process and government operations.
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using legislative tracking tools and databases.
• Experience in preparing reports, briefs, and presentations.
• Commitment to public service and ethical standards.
