Job Title : Senior Accountant
Location : Carrollton, TX
Long-Term Contract
CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Senior Accountant for an exciting opportunity with a government entity in Carrollton, TX. This role reports directly to the Controller and offers a chance to lead critical financial operations while contributing to public service excellence.
Responsibilities :
- Perform complex accounting activities, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Oversee and manage specific focus areas, such as Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Payroll, or Capital Projects.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and GASB standards while analyzing financial data and preparing reports.
- Supervise and train financial services support staff, providing guidance and expertise.
- Participate in audits, testing financial software implementations, and policy development.
- Prepare and contribute to the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).
