This is a full-time hybrid role for a Benefits & Leave Specialist. The position is based in Kansas City, MO, with some work from home acceptable. The Benefits & Leave Specialist will manage employee benefits programs, handle leave administration, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. They will interact with employees to address benefits-related inquiries, process benefits enrollments and changes, and maintain accurate records. Additionally, the specialist will coordinate with third-party vendors and conduct benefits orientation sessions.
- Experience in managing employee benefits programs and leave administration
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
