Role Summary: The Deposit Product Development Manager is primarily responsible for supporting Leadership by providing the vision and leadership necessary to develop, enhance, and implement strategy, performance metrics, and processes for the credit union’s deposit-related products. This role leverages innovative thinking and an exceptional process improvement orientation to ensure quality products, quality operations, and nimble relevance in a competitive and evolving financial marketplace
Essential Job Duties
- Accountable for working with departmental leaders and teams, for the performance and direction of the deposit product portfolio. This portfolio includes personal memberships, business accounts, special account types, checking accounts, savings accounts
- Acts as an internal consultant on a variety of product initiatives, conducting reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities to improve both products and processes
- Leads projects related to the deposit product portfolio and implements new products and programs to enhance CCU offerings and improve service to members.
- Maintains an Agile board that captures the product roadmap for deposit and membership product enhancements.
- Manages the technical implementation of initiatives related to deposit or membership products
- Conducts and/or coordinates detailed data analysis to track performance, trends and profitability of the deposit product portfolio
- Works with sales, marketing, member services and other teams to collect anecdotal data about members’ use of products to supplement data analysis
- Creates and manages a backlog of enhancements/bug fixes for the product portfolio for Agile development and participates in sprint planning with Systems Development, automation or vendor resources as applicable
- Coordinates deposit product stakeholders to provide a coherent strategy that incorporates input from multiple viewpoints within including InfoSec and Compliance as well as teams working directly with the products
Required Competencies
- Experience in Symitar core financial platform preferred
- Experience in the Alkami digital banking platform preferred
- Experience in data analytics and associated toolsets such as SQL and Tableau preferred
- Product and/or Project Management certification preferred
- Scrum Master Certification preferred
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and delegate responsibilities
- Effectively manages stress in a constantly changing environment
- Has excellent judgment and the ability to make quick decisions and think outside the box when working with complex situations

Education Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field preferred. Commensurate work experience will also be considered
Experience Requirements
- 3 Years of related experience required
- Experience working in a financial institution is preferred

- The ability to read and comprehend moderate to advanced instructions and correspondence.
- The ability to write moderate to advanced correspondence within professional etiquette standards.
- The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.

Compensation - The starting Deposit Product Development Manager base pay range is $60,500 - $75,000 per year. Hiring rates are dependent on several factors, including years of related work experience, education, and geographic location. Corning Credit Union also offers an annual bonus plan as part of its comprehensive compensation package. Additionally, most roles have further levels providing added growth opportunities and earnings potential.
