Job Overview:
As the Raven’s View Genetics Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of new products from concept to market. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, compliance, and production, to ensure that all products meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will be a key player in driving innovation and ensuring our product offerings remain competitive and aligned with market trends.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Product Development and Innovation:
- Lead the product development process, from ideation and formulation to prototyping and commercialization.
- Conduct market research to identify consumer needs, industry trends, and competitive products.
- Develop new product concepts and formulations that align with brand strategy and market demands.
- Focus on developing a range of cannabis products, including flower products, infused items (edibles, beverages, topicals), concentrates, and other cannabis-related items.
2. Project Management:
- Manage product development projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of product development plans.
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
3. Quality and Compliance:
- Ensure all products meet regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the compliance team to stay informed about changes in regulations and ensure product compliance.
- Oversee product testing and validation processes to ensure safety and efficacy.
- Implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards throughout the product development and production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and safety.
4. Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Identify and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors for raw materials and packaging.
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance to ensure high-quality and cost-effective sourcing.
- Monitor supply chain to prevent disruptions and maintain production schedules.
5. Product Launch and Support:
- Work with marketing and sales teams to develop product launch strategies and promotional materials.
- Provide technical support and training to sales and customer service teams.
- Collect and analyze feedback from customers and stakeholders to drive continuous product improvement.
6. Specific Product Development Areas:
- Oversee product development for each product ensuring SOPs are followed to ensure consistency
- Flower Products: Develop premium flower products, ensuring optimal strain selection, cultivation techniques, and packaging.
- Infused Items: Innovate and refine cannabis-infused products such as edibles, beverages, and topicals, focusing on taste, effectiveness, and consumer safety.
- Concentrates: Lead the development of concentrates including oils, waxes, and tinctures, ensuring high potency and quality.
- Other Cannabis-Related Items: Explore and develop additional cannabis-related products to diversify the brand's offerings.
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Chemistry, Culinary, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in product development, preferably in the cannabis or a regulated industry.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of product development processes, from concept to commercialization.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards in the cannabis industry.
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards and implementation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Additional Information:
- The role may require occasional travel for supplier visits and industry events.

Pay: From $39.00 per hour
