Position Purpose
The Industrial Engineering Staff Engineer works in the Corporate Manufacturing Engineering Division. They perform cost and capacity studies, economic comparisons, and justification analysis; evaluates systems, methods, human factors, workflow, and other opportunities for productivity improvement. The Industrial Engineering Staff Engineer maintains knowledge of and expertise in the latest developments in the areas of business analysis systems and technologies; defines their applicability to Corning; develops and applies these systems and technologies through successful projects. They develop and execute project plans, establishing requirements, deliverables, resources, timing / milestones, and risks. They coordinate the efforts of project teams and provide project team facilitation and influence by serving as a technical coach for peers / customers as needed.
Requirements
- BS in Industrial or other Engineering / Technical field of study
- 6 years of related experience
- Working knowledge of : Lean Manufacturing concepts and principles, cycle time reduction, cost analysis, cost modeling, manufacturing / business processes, Value Stream Mapping, line balance / staffing, work cell design
- Effective, high quality oral and written communication skills; Able to sell your ideas / concepts to Senior Management and build effective working relationships with others across the company
- Expert level knowledge & application of Excel
- Working knowledge of Industrial Engineering simulation tool(s) (e.g. SIMUL8)
- Customer oriented; meet customer needs with quality results
- Contribution to the development of function as well as other associates

The range for this position is $102,848.00 - $141,416.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
