Position Description
The Innovation Project Manager is responsible for collecting and analyzing market data, tracking industry dynamics and trends, defining strategic issues and making strategic recommendations to Corning’s Innovation Office program leadership, such as energy storage and gorilla glass applications.
Responsibilities
- Identify reliable sources of data. Search industry reports, company’s financial reports and announcements. Analyze and synthesize data
- Track the performance of value chain players in key industries of interest
- Define strategic issues and its implications to Corning’s Innovation Office programs
- Work closely with commercial organization to quantify value proposition and develop business case scenarios
- Develop long-term strategic options and make recommendations in support of the success of the Innovation Office programs
- Utilize advanced analytic tools, process rigor and appropriate cross functional participation to confirm quality, depth and consistency of strategic decisions
- Work closely with commercial, technology and commercial technology cross functional teams
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economy or business with excellent performance
- MBA from top MBA school majoring in strategy, marketing or operations
Experience and Skills
- 3 years' experience in strategy, marketing, operations or business development
- Industry experience in Business to Business technology markets
- Knowledge and experience in automotive, renewable energy or glass industry is not a requirement but a strong plus
- Demonstrated ability to develop clear business communications in growing global business
- Strong analytical skills and affinity for process rigor
- Strong presentation and communication skills (written and oral)
- Strong organization skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to multi-task, take initiative and handle urgent requests on short notice.
- Strong computer skills in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint

The range for this position is $101,623.00 - $139,732.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
