We’re seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to support product inspections, lab testing, and quality assurance documentation. This role involves hands-on testing, inspection reporting, root cause analysis, and collaborative work with cross-functional teams.
Essential Functions of Quality Control Technician:
- Creates and maintains First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and inspection templates.
- Reviews and updates inspection reports as needed.
- Conducts lab testing and generates corresponding lab reports.
- Performs functional and performance testing on products and components.
- Conducts receiving inspections (AQL's) as needed and assists with internal inspection audits for product integrity, labels, packaging, etc.
- Assists in creating MDR's and supports product rework or sorting as needed.
- Performs pre-shipping inspections prior to customer delivery.
- Assists production inspectors in maintaining QA files such as calibration certificates and tool inventory logs as needed.
- Recommends and implements changes to Quality Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensures that Procedure Change Notices are sent to key business partners.
- Prepares QA reports and minutes for management reviews.
- Conducts root cause analysis to support quality improvements.
- Occasional travels to suppliers and warehouses (domestic and international) to train QA personnel or evaluate products (typically once every other year for 3 days).
- Maintains cleanliness or work areas, equipment, and machines.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures.
- Attends required training sessions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Quality Control Technician:
- 5-year of quality related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such operating instructions, maintenance guides, and procedure manuals.
- Proficiency in inspection tools and equipment.
- Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent teamwork and planning skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
Working Conditions for Quality Control Technician:
- Warehouse environment that is rarely temperature controlled and subject to seasonal temperature changes.
- Occasional exposure to dust, noise, and other typical warehouse conditions.
- Training and meetings may occur on-site throughout the year, including in warehouse areas.

- Ability to stoop, bend, and lift materials as required by the inspection process
