About the Role :
The Quality Technician will support manufacturing operations utilizing Wabash Quality disciplines, processes, and tools with the objective of improving operating performance and ensuring our products meet the customers needs and expectations. The Quality Technician will work with the Wabash Quality Philosophies in mind with a focus on risk mitigation, error proofing, and problem solving.
Requirements :
- 3 years manufacturing experience
- Experience with Microsoft applications programs Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Competent in basic Mathematics and English
- High School degree or G.E.D equivalent.
- Problem Solving experience preferred (8D, 5 Why, etc)
- Understand basics engineering concepts, fit, form, and function
- Must have both good written and verbal communication skills
- Must have analytical skills and be able to exercise independent judgment
- Ability to read and interpret technical data and engineering drawings is required
- Experience reading and using a variety of precision measuring instruments preferred
- Must be able to direct and influence the actions of others within areas of responsibility
- Ability to function under pressure and maintain professionalism
- Ability to interact with management, customers, and suppliers
- Ability to train others individually and in a group setting

The work environment includes exposure to high decibels of noise, temperature, weather variations, metal welding processes and chemicals, which may include solvents, undercoating, paint, and caulking. Fast paced environment with moving equipment and motorized vehicles running at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS :
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Requires minimum of eight hours standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of body mechanics / movements.
Regularly required to lift and carry up to 35 (thirty-five) pounds. Frequently required to lift and carry up to fifty-five (55) pounds. Occasionally required to lift and carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
Must be able to work in an environment requiring use of ladder, stairs, heights, platforms and climbing in and out of trailers or working under trailers in tight spaces.
Must have ability to operate a variety of power and hand tools safely, work with compressed air safely, operate fork trucks safely and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE)
