Salary Range: $58,656 to $70,000

Position Overview:
The Senior RCM Manager is responsible for managing the Billing and Collections operations for assigned accounts and internal staff. This role ensures revenue performance through accurate and standardized billing processes while overseeing all day-to-day operations of the Billing and Collections department. In addition to managing individual and team performance metrics, the Senior RCM Manager develops strategies to help the Collections team meet and sustain performance goals aligned with the company's portfolio targets. This role requires a strong background in collections operations and a client-focused approach to enhance client experience and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide upper management with regular updates on revenue cycle status, including reports, metrics, and goals.
- Communicate with clients and their staff to resolve billing issues and concerns.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures within billing and coding teams.
- Access billing software to analyze rejection reasons and communicate findings.
- Address billing/coding errors and manage resubmission requests.
- Comply with all HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Track AR KPIs (0-30, 30-60%) to maintain targets under 25%.
- Monitor and maintain Aged AR rates and Days in AR to meet metrics and goals.
- Track denied claims rate, with a target of under 5%.
- Oversee team performance to achieve core operational functions and targets.
- Analyze reports and strategize to resolve operational gaps or capitalize on opportunities.
- Manage portfolio target strategies, including incentives, training, account prioritization, and technology improvements.
- Exceed country-level recovery rate and rate targets each month.
- Collaborate with Executive and Management teams for reporting needs.
- Train, develop, and coach the Collections team.
- Conduct regular reviews of accounts receivable with Collections and Account Management teams.
- Ensure troubleshooting procedures for non-payment are followed, including reviewing Explanation of Benefits.
- Ensure team members understand client billing guidelines relevant to their portfolios.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education/Certifications/OTJ Experience:
- Strong multi-state Medicaid knowledge.
- 3-5 years in collections operations experience.
- 3 years in a supervisory or management role, with experience managing onshore and offshore teams.
Knowledge of subject matter:
- Proficient in collections PMS software systems and analytical/business reporting tools (Excel, or other business reporting software).
Skills:
- Proven skills in staff training, coaching, QA, business process improvement, and workforce planning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
