What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Card Retention Specialist within our Vendor Support division. This position falls under our Corporate Payment line of business and is located in Beaverton, OR. In this role, you will make outbound phone calls, emails, and respond to inbound emails from our customers’ vendors requesting that they receive payment in a form other than our virtual card solution. The Card Retention Specialist seeks to understand the vendor’s concerns regarding virtual card acceptance, explain MasterCard card processing rules, and reach a negotiated “win-win” solution for both our customers and the vendors with whom they do business. You will report directly to the Card Retention Supervisor and regularly collaborate with Vendor Support, Payment Modification, and Vendor Enrollment teams.

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
Placing calls and emails to vendors who have requested to opt-out of credit card payments
Responding to vendor emails regarding a request to opt out of credit card payments
Preparing for outbound calls including reviewing correspondence, case information, and preparing possible solutions in advance of contacting the vendor
Listening to concerns and constructing a real-time response that leverages our alternative card options
Updating, working, and closing tickets within Salesforce
Updating vendor records
Achieving and maintaining productivity standards, service level agreements and card spend retention goals
Acting as a liaison between vendor and client; discussing payment issues or negotiating payment terms and/or loss of rebate opportunities
Identifying trends within vendor requests and responses and creating a strategic plan with leadership to address those trends
Analyzing spend volumes against the proposed pricing model to make recommendations on proposed vendor pricing
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred
2-3 years previous experience in inside sales/telesales or sales support preferred
Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and effectively
Must be able to manage time effectively and work independently without direct supervision
Excellent level of personal organization with superior telephone etiquette, verbal and written communication skills, as well as, customer service skills are required
Ability to react quickly and decisively to resolve customer issues
Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment while effectively managing multiple projects
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
This role must strive for deep subject matter expertise in all payment processing options
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office product suite, including Excel and Outlook are essential
Experience using Salesforce is preferred
