Overview
We are a corporate healthcare organization seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller/CFO to join our dynamic team. Must have healthcare experience working as a Controller of CFO. The Financial Controller/CFO will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth. This position requires a deep understanding of financial concepts, risk management, and corporate accounting practices.
Duties
- Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for healthcare related entities.
- Manage the cost reimbursement and financial reporting process while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards, as well as maximizing reimbursement.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost management.
- Implement and maintain financial software systems to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate tax accounting processes and ensure timely filing of tax returns in accordance with regulations.
- Collaborate with business development teams to provide financial insights that support strategic initiatives.
- Conduct risk management assessments to identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and ensure adherence to GAAP principles.
Experience
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting roles, with a strong understanding of financial concepts.
- Proficiency in financial software applications and tools for effective data analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated expertise in tax accounting practices and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Experience in cost management strategies that drive operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with risk management principles and their application in a corporate environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role, preferably in a healthcare/hospital environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with budgeting, compliance, and cash management
- Excellent skills in account reconciliation and financial management
- Familiarity with accounting software systems
