Job Overview
The Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our consumer reporting services by leading in the development of strategic sales plans and building relationships with new and existing clients. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of the consumer reporting industry and associated products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales management and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow the client base and expand market share within the consumer reporting industry.
- Conduct presentations of the company's consumer reporting solutions to prospective clients showcasing the benefits and value of our products and services.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities including potential clients in verticals such as financial services manufacturing healthcare construction and staffing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations including C-level executives HR professionals and compliance officers.
- Work closely with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and sales collateral.
- Client Relationship Management
- Develop long-term sustainable relationships with clients by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions that meet their objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations including C-level executives HR professionals and compliance officers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and resolving any issues that arise.
- Negotiate contracts pricing and service agreements with clients to maximize revenue while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as customer service marketing and product development to ensure client satisfaction and the successful delivery of services.
- Sales Reporting & Analysis
- Monitor sales performance through regular reporting and analysis of KPIs key performance indicators.
- Track sales activities revenue generation and pipeline development using CRM tools e.g. Salesforce.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on sales progress market trends and competitive landscape.
- Industry Expertise & Market Research
- Stay informed about trends regulations and innovations in the consumer reporting and background screening industry.
- Representing the company at industry events conferences and networking opportunities to generate leads and increase brand visibility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales with at least 2 years in a sales leadership position preferably within the consumer reporting background screening or related industries.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and achieving business objectives.
- Strong understanding of the consumer reporting industry including knowledge of compliance regulations e.g. FCRA GDPR.
- Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in using CRM software Salesforce HubSpot etc. and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling to financial institutions payroll services credit reporting companies or other industries that require consumer reports.
- Familiarity with data security and privacy standards in the consumer reporting industry.
- Certification in sales leadership or management e.g. Certified Professional Sales Leader etc.
