Audio Visual Engineer / Production Manager

Corporate Live, Inc. has been creating amazing live events for a diverse roster of entertainment, non-profit, corporate, political, and academic clients for 30 years.

We are looking for a seasoned Audio-Visual Engineer / Production Manager to join our growing team.  If you have 5 years of proven and verifiable work experience as a project manager in the audio-visual industry, we want to talk to you!  The right individual will have a thorough understanding and expertise in lighting design or video engineering, or a solid mixture of both disciplines.

Basic Function :

The PM is responsible for all production elements involved within a live event production.  They work closely with the client to assess needs and vision; create and or collaborates on all designs; schedules equipment, assigns personnel, and executes all production elements of a live event.  The PM is responsible for each project from the order stage through final project completion.  The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background as it relates to event production.

Essential Functions :

• Responsible for coordinating setup and operation of all aspects of multi-media events / projects.
• Takes leadership role regarding customer communications for event.
• Responsible for working with estimating personnel to ensure competitive and accurate proposal to customer.
• Assists in estimating event needs by participating in site-surveys as needed.
• Responsible for coordinating equipment required for events.
• Responsible for bringing the event on budget.
• Works directly with customers to establish project timeline.
• Responsible for communicating project progress to Director of Live Events, support and technical staff.
• Responsible for scheduling company technical staff and any associated subcontractors.
• Manages and coordinates all personnel on jobsite.
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.

Qualifications :

Experience : Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the live event production industry. Supervisory experience is a strong plus.

Working Knowledge : Must possess excellent technical knowledge in sound, video, lighting, staging, rigging, and design. Strong consideration given to individuals with video or lighting expertise.  Must have the ability to create CAD designs with a keen sense seamlessly integrating all aspects of a multimedia event.

Licenses and Certifications : Extra consideration will be given to candidates with a Class B commercial driver’s license or willing and able to obtain one.

Travel :

Occasional out of town travel will be required.

Salary :

• Commensurate on experience

Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements :

• Required to move and / or transport equipment and prep equipment for events, which includes assisting with loading / unloading trucks. Fork trucks and carts are used, but some lifting to 75 lbs. is required.
• Installation and set-up of equipment, running cable, set up systems, electrical low and high voltage wiring.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Noise levels at production events may be at or above 100dB.
• Much work is performed outside and is subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
