Essential Job Functions:
Reconciliation of invoices
Data entry
Filing
Light accounts receivables and accounts payables
Preparing/assisting with daily accounting reports
Journal entries
Handling bank deposits
Compile information for audits
Research, analyze and resolve inquiries related to billing, payments and reporting
Provide back up to the accounting department
Participate in other special duties and projects as required
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Students actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university college seeking a degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics, or a recent graduate.
Availability:
Must be available for full-time hours (Monday – Friday) and for the length of the entire internship of 12 weeks, mid-May until mid-August.
Computer Skills:
A successful intern would need to have experience using Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, General ledger, Data Entry 10 key and alpha numeric.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
