The Courtyard Houston Medical Center/NRG Park, managed by Moody National Management LP is currently looking for a Sales Manager to join our team.

Summary:
The Sales Manager plans, solicits, books, and coordinates sales to meet/exceed hotel profit objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through various efforts, including outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, referrals, networking, etc. to maximize room revenue.
- Develop relationships with corporate, business, travel industry, community organizations, professional associations, media, etc. to identify potential clients and increase market share.
- Develop and implement a sales plan for the hotel; contribute to the development of a sales/marketing budget and monitor actual results against budget goals.
- Notify/coordinate customer specifications with other departments and quickly, efficiently respond to customer issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales
- Survey, review and analyze competition, market trends, as well as customer needs and comments to develop new plans and programs and determine the potency of current plans and programs, conduct internet prospecting.
- Implement Company/Brand
- Maintain accurate, legible records and files to provide group histories, rooming lists, group blocks, drop dates, and Banquet Event orders.
- Participate in trade shows and community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility for the hotel and enhance revenue opportunities.

Skills:
- Solid working knowledge of revenue management concepts and
- Extensive knowledge of brand’s frequent guest program, brand and hotel web site and both local and national negotiated corporate accounts.
- Knowledge of brand systems such as Salespro, Fosse, Marsha, OnQ, and Opra
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication and negotiation
- Ability to work independently, with minimum direction, as well as interface effectively with all levels of management and maintain effective communication with corporate management.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office products, especially Excel, Word,
- Excellent command of the English language; second language proficiency
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of work experience in hotel sales/marketing.
- All positions must also complete any additional training required by manager or as assigned by the Brand or Moody.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and own transportation.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Local travel is required weekly; national travel may be required on an annual basis to attend corporate or functional meetings.
