Exercise Director
Ft. Sill, Oklahoma
The Exercise Director’s mission involves advising the Site Lead, FCOE and MSE on current and future operations, managing force requirements, and ensuring alignment with both current and future operational objectives. These duties will include:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aid in managing, planning, and directing training events and ensuring any potential complications that arise are handled in the proper fashion.
- Using simulations, models, and other technological developments as vehicles for educational purposes.
- Conduct reports and analysis of previous and current operations in order to further refine exercises so operators can execute contract operations in a more efficient manner.
EDUCATION
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Three years’ experience managing, planning, and directing training events utilizing constructive simulations in support of the Military Decision Making and Planning (MDMP) process required.
EXPERIENCE
- Required three years’ experience managing, planning, and directing training events utilizing constructive simulations in support of the Military Decision Making and Planning (MDMP) process.
- Required three years’ experience in applying simulations, simulators, models, and games for training for education purposes. Three years’ experience linking C4I application and mission command systems (AFATDS, FBCB2, JCR/JCB-P, CPCE, JADOCS, and/or DDS) with the JLCCTC Ver. 8.1 or JLCCTC-ERF simulation.
- Required one year experience using the most recent version of Microsoft Operating System (e.g. Win 7 / 10), Microsoft Office Applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Professional 2013), and other common desktop applications such as Adobe Acrobat, and the ability to quickly learn unique applications preferred.
- Required one year experience conducting After Action Reviews in a Constructive Simulations environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Expert-level knowledge in various aspects of military operations, including command and control systems, force management, exercise planning, readiness reporting, and anti-terrorism.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess and address operational needs, develop actionable recommendations, and ensure the efficient execution of tasks.
- Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (SharePoint, MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information and provide clear, actionable reports and briefings.
- Ability to respond to urgent situations, adapt to changing conditions, and support diverse operational needs within both CONUS and OCONUS environments.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS
- Travel is required.
- Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider.
SECURITY CLEARANCE
- A Secret clearance is required for this position, higher is preferred.
