Trends Reversal and Reinforcement Process (TRRP) Analyst and MAGTF Warfighting SME

The TRRP Analyst will provide analysis of evaluations of MCLOG’s training programs to determine trends and make recommendations for validated trends reversal or reinforcement within MCLOG’s programs in concert with the Assessments Officer. Participate in Higher and Adjacent Trends Reversal and Reinforcement Process (TRRP) working groups to draw comparison to MCLOG’s program trends and other training programs and formal schools. This position will also assist in developing exercise scenarios and related products in close coordination with MCLOG personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (TRRP ANALYST)
- Participate in exercise/wargame planning and design (e.g., Concept Development Conference (CDC), Initial Planning Conference (IPC), Main Planning Conference (MPC), and Final Planning Conference (FPC)) to support MCLOG exercises/training events/wargames and exercises/training events/wargames in which MCLOG participates.
- Participate in Higher and Adjacent Trends Reversal and Reinforcement Process (TRRP) working groups to draw comparison to MCLOG’s program trends and other formal schools.
- Make recommendations for Training and Readiness (T&R) updates to assist the Service in trends reversal and reinforcement.
- Participate in debriefs and after-action reviews immediately following exercises MCLOG facilitates or participates in.
- Analyze, interpret, summarize and/or evaluate data to make recommendations for any aspect of the MCLOG training programs.
- Assist MCLOG’s Academics, Doctrine, and T&R SMEs in using the TRRP process for updates to assigned areas/programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (MAGTF WARFIGHTING SME)
- Assists with developing scenarios and supporting materials to support exercise operational planning and execution.
- Analyze, develop, validate, and document exercise design products in conjunction with MCLOG personnel to meet current training objectives for service specific exercises and courses.
- Provide support for MCLOG formal schools and learning programs.
- Review relevant studies, briefs, and documents to identify gaps that should be considered for integration into the scenario and exercises.
- Design and develop relevant adversary plans and background to support the scenario.
- Participate in the development of country fact books, component/MEF/MEB-level OPORDs and FRAGORDs as appropriate in support of exercise scenario development.
- Assist MCLOG planners and action officers on training audience staff to develop briefs/orders/products, as required in support of expeditionary advanced base operations and full spectrum combat operations ashore.
- Supports MCLOG EXCON by filling a key billet as required.
- Develop, coordinate, synchronize, and assist in managing MSELs during training exercise execution.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Trained in Marine Corps Instructional System Design.
- Military formal schools/ Instructional System Design experience at the E-7 – E-9 level.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the Joint operational command level.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or SharePoint.
- Exercise design knowledge.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.
SECURITY CLEARANCE
- A NATO Secret Clearance is required for this position.
