Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Food Distribution Center in Warren, Ohio is seeking a qualified shipping and receiving Clerk.

Summary:

A shipping and receiving clerk is responsible for reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations. Must assist in maintaining compliance in accordance with our SQF program.

Essential duties:

· Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments

· Handle daily paperwork for outbound trucks

· Ensure visitors, contractors, and truck drivers sign in/out of the facility

· Answer multi-line phones and forward calls when needed

· Check incoming mail and distribute to departments

· Setup and dispatch loads for clients

· Scan all completed paperwork to accounts payable

· Data entry

· Provide excellent customer service

· Create professional correspondence

· Always maintains a clean and neat area

· All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Must be able to use a wide variety of office equipment

· Good written and verbal communications skills

· Strong sense of time organization and urgency

· Ability to work independently and within a team

· Must be detail oriented

· Will have a positive attitude

· Proficient in Microsoft 365 software

Physical Requirements:

· This position is primarily sedentary

· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

· Must be able to stand, lift, twist, bend, and crouch

Other Responsibilities:

· Following procedures

· Attending required quality and food safety training

· Participating in audits
