Position Overview :
Mach Connections is seeking a detailoriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to collaboratively manage and optimize our procurement process. This role is responsible for procuring raw or semifinished materials parts supplies and other resources essential for manufacturing and operational needs. The ideal candidate will proactively ensure the timely availability of materials and supplies while optimizing cost efficiency quality and inventory management to support production goals.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Procurement Management :
o Source evaluate and select suppliers to meet company quality cost and delivery objectives.
o Develop and issue purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
o Track and manage orders to ensure the timely delivery of raw or semifinished materials parts supplies and other resources essential for manufacturing.
2. Vendor Relations :
o Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying new vendors to improve procurement efficiency.
o Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure favorable pricing quality and delivery performance.
3. Inventory and Cost Control :
o Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement efforts to avoid shortages or overstock.
o Analyze market trends and vendor performance to identify costsaving opportunities.
o Implement strategies to optimize cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards to support production goals.
4. Quality Assurance :
o Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure procured materials meet specifications and quality standards.
o Address and resolve issues related to defective or substandard materials.
5. Compliance and Documentation :
o Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies industry regulations and ethical standards.
o Maintain accurate records of purchases pricing inventory and vendor agreements.
6. Collaboration and Communication :
o Work closely with production operations engineering and finance teams to align procurement strategies with manufacturing and operational needs.
o Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address and resolve issues related to delivery quality or billing.
7. Culture and Teamwork :

Qualifications : Qualifications :
Education : Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
Experience : 2 years in a purchasing or procurement role preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Skills :
o Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
o Proficient in ERP system Epicor
o Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
Certifications : APICS CPSM or similar certifications are a plus.
