Job Overview:
The primary function of the Construction Laborer is to perform a variety of tasks at all kinds of construction sites. This is a full-time, non-exempt position and reports to the Construction Manager.
Primary Duties:
- Perform heavy manual labor.
- Ensure that all work is being done in compliance with company protocol.
- Proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
- Effectively handle lifting of various objects.
- Read and interpret safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents.
- Work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Operate various types of tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly facilities.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Able to lift 60 pounds of necessary equipment; Able to push and pull 75 pounds.
- Handle exposure to dust, fumes and high noise levels.
- Follows company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies.
- Able to handle high stress situations and frequent interruptions.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work.
- Regular interaction with peers on-site, including face to face meetings and spontaneous conferences.
- Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Perform any duties as may be assigned by management.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- 1 years of position related experience.
- Pass 7-year criminal background check.
- Valid driver’s license.
