Description
Corsica River is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide customer service by welcoming, processing and scheduling clients, support professional staff through monitoring and managing documents and required processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Exude excellent internal and external customer service each day as a priority
Responsible for all front window operations
Ensures client demographic data is accurate prior to each visit
Updating and ensuring client ROI’s are updated annually; mail out ROI’s as needed
Checking patients in and out at the front desk; collect co payments
Knowledge of all opening and closing procedures
Answering the phone in a timely and welcoming manner
Be able to process phone call reminders via our Robo-call system
Scheduling patients for the proper appointment
Taking and/or helping complete patient registrations in advance of appointments
Compiling and scanning medical records and charts
Prepare and/or compile for clinician approval and mailing, record and disability requests
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility each visit; make sure it’s updated in the EHR
Ensure all necessary authorizations are obtained prior to each visit
Research and verify daily billing information for claim submission
Operating the EHR and office equipment
Taking and relaying messages to the appropriate clinician/staff member
Maintaining a professional appearance of the office
Maintain client confidentiality as required by Maryland law and HIPAA
Actively participate as a positive member of the clinic environment
Attend & participate in team and agency meetings
Comply with agency training requirements
Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum level of education required is High School or equivalent. Formal training in administrative skills and experience in a medical setting preferred. Proficiency in utilizing an electronic medical record is also preferred.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES COVERAGE AT MULTIPLE CLINIC LOCATIONS

- Read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with others and maintain records
- Attention to detail and highly developed organizational skills
- Ability to anticipate and react calmly to emergency situations
- Pass the agency’s background check
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record to support insurability by the agency’s insurance carrier, and work related use of a vehicle carrying minimum of 100/200/50 liability insurance
