Job Opportunity:
Corteva Agriscience is seeking a skilled and motivated Production Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural operations and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct harvest activities including preparation, seed sampling, and truck unloading.
- Perform general plant, field, and warehouse operations as needed.
- Monitor and operate highly automated equipment for harvesting, conditioning, treating, and packing.
- Coordinate production activities such as seed conditioning, treating, packaging, and rework.
- Manage product returns and sorting activities.
- Conduct field activities such as scouting, inspection, and logistics management.
- Utilize automation and computerized systems to perform work tasks.
- Operate forklifts, collect samples, and pool materials as needed.
- Perform varying other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED OR willingness to obtain within one (1) year of hire.
- Ability to climb, work in elevated areas, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications and willingness to learn company-specific software.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid US Driver's License.
- Team-oriented and adaptable individual.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
- Willingsness to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical or Associates Degree.
- One (1) year of education and/or experience in operations, manufacturing, agriculture, or related fields.
- LEAN Manufacturing knowledge and/or experience with 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Standardized Work.
- General knowledge of field and agriculture equipment.
