What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker (Full-time) position at Cortiva Institute?
We're looking for Maintenance personnel to join our team!
The job requires the maintenance person to keep the campus orderly and clean. Duties include things such as washing walls and glass, cleaning floors, and removing trash. You will perform general repair work related to door locks, floor tile, windows and other building and grounds apparatus; patch walls and hang bulletin boards, pictures, chalk boards and related items. Additionally, the maintenance personnel should watch for potential structural and mechanical problems in the building and perform a wide range of duties. To perform this type of job, you should have vast knowledge of all operations to correctly fix things within a building.
SKILLS
- Maintain and complete minor repairs on plumbing fixtures and equipment; unclog drains; repair leaking faucets, toilets, pipes, valves, garbage disposals, thermostats, regulators, dishwashers, drinking fountains, and other related plumbing fixtures.
- Complete minor repairs and replacements on electrical fixtures and equipment including indoor and outdoor light fixtures, switches, outlets, audio monitor devices, emergency light systems, smoke and heat detectors and other related electrical components; and repair small electrical appliances.
- Cleaning includes maintaining bathrooms, windows and interior and exterior of buildings (patch holes and paint as required)
- Operate a vehicle used in transporting equipment, supplies and other items.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of proper cleaning methods, procedures and materials and the operation and care of various types of cleaning equipment.
