As a Graphic Designer, you will partner with the Marketing team to create visual concepts, layouts, and production designs for our marketing and corporate communications.
Roles You Will Play
The Visionary
- See possibilities where other people don’t by using your highly developed creative lens and sharp eye for detail
- Use the latest edition of the Adobe Creative Suite to build captivating concepts that keep our messaging visually exciting and fresh
- Communicate our brand messaging and help guide potential new customers’ impressions of Cortland’s corporate and community brands
- Build stimulating graphics for consumers to explore through our webpages
The Designer
- Take the lead on mocking up visuals for collateral projects
- Build a stunning corporate graphic presence using web, marketing collateral, and advertising art elements
- Create a wide range of deliverables — everything from creating web banners and textual images, to developing artistic components for special projects, e-blasts, and social media campaigns
- Work with communities to design graphics specifically catered to their unique illustrative needs
The Organizer
- Push the envelope to create one-of-a-kind images that align with the Corporate Marketing and Communications Manager’s visual ambitions
- Come up with graphic styles that most effectively fit the overarching design parameters given
- Make our webpages look just right, by identifying the best layouts for illustrative material and copy to support a variety of digital devices
- Hold readers’ attention and draw their eyes to important information to create a compelling online experience

Building Blocks of Success
- 5 years of stellar graphic design experience
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
- Terrific written and verbal communication skills
- Solid decision-making skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
