Your Impact as Orthodontic Dental Assistant
In this role, you'll be instrumental in creating positive patient experiences and driving practice growth. Key responsibilities include:
Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
Build positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers to ensure the targeted outcome treatment remains on schedule.
Educate patients on oral hygiene.
Enter detailed chart/record notations in the practice management system.
Take x-rays, photos, impressions and intraoral scans.
Provide patient instruction/education.
Provide reports to parents/guardians.
Assist Orthodontist with consultations and all stages of orthodontic procedures.
Clean/disinfect operatories and sterilize instruments and devices.
Set up trays and prepare brackets for bonding.
Unload and store new supplies.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Doctor and Practice Manager.

Qualifications
1-2 years experience as a Dental Assistant is required.
Orthodontic assisting experience preferred.
Good understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
Proficiency with orthodontic management software systems is preferred but not required.
Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written), with a proven ability to build strong relationships and rapport with patients, parents, doctors, fellow team members and the community.
Keen attention-to-detail and time management skills.
Dependability and a strong work ethic.
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate: $19 per hour (starting).
