Salary range: $50,000 - $65,000 per year for this full-time position.
Hours: Average of 40 hours per week; flexible, hybrid work schedule with prior approval.

The Corvallis Public Schools Foundation (CPSF) was established more than 25 years ago to support students in our 13 local public schools and inspire learning for a lifetime. Since then, we have invested over $11 million dollars in our local schools.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Engagement Manager will work in collaboration with the Executive Director to raise the profile of CPSF and create meaningful engagement that inspires support among diverse stakeholders includingdonors, CSD staff, parents, community organizations, funding partners, local businesses, and others.
The Community Engagement Manager will make a significant contribution to CPSF by highlighting the impact of the organization, creating valuable relationships that further the organization’s growth, and contributing to the development of long-term strategic initiatives that help ensure the success of students in our schools.
The successful candidate will have a passion for public education, a collaborative spirit and a commitment to advancing our mission. They will join our small, committed staff team with a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and inclusivity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Outreach & Marketing:
- In conjunction with the Executive Director, develop and implement an annual communication and outreach plan utilizing print materials, annual report, website, social media, e-newsletters, and other communication vehicles to expand CPSF’s message in the community and inspire support.
- Grow CPSF’s presence in the community by actively engaging with local civic and nonprofit organizations, and other stakeholder groups to further collaboration and support for CPSF's mission.
- Engage with CPSF-funded programs and beneficiaries to create and share stories demonstrating the meaningful impact of our work.
- Be a professional ambassador of the organization at all times presenting on behalf of CPSF to CSD staff, community organizations, businesses, and other partners.
Donor Relations & Fundraising:
- In alignment with CPSF Board goals, and in collaboration with the Executive Director, implement a comprehensive annual fundraising plan including annual giving, monthly donor program, corporate and foundation grants, and special fundraising events.
- Track and report data to show progress toward development goals, and provide donor stewardship to cultivate relationships with new and existing donors.
- Provide leadership and on-the-ground management for events, including the annual fundraising event, Hands Across Corvallis; and donor program visits and receptions.
- Contribute to strategic development initiatives such as the creation of a major gifts program and other campaigns that will further growth for CPSF.
Other duties include participating in Board committee meetings, and performing assignments as directed by the Executive Director.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communication, journalism, English, business, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of three years of experience and/or training in communication-related activities such as event management, marketing, fundraising, sales, business development, or public relations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to nurture and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for public education and youth development.
- A demonstrable commitment to and willingness to support equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office products, Google Suite, digital marketing tools, as well as experience with database management.
- Ability to plan in a team context and carry out work independently.
- Superb planning, organizational, and project management skills with a keen eye for detail, and design.
- Flexibility in implementing work schedules that match organizational needs, including occasionally shifting time to evenings or weekends.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, in accordance with Oregon background check regulations.
