What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President, Instrumentaion Radar Systems position at Corvid Technologies LLC?
Corvid Technologies is looking for an experienced leader to continue developing our cost-effective technical service, specializing in engineering, tests, analyses, evaluation, and software development of instrumentation radars systems. The position will lead an experienced, talented team of hardware and software engineers focused on providing systems that support the characterization and performance of our nation's most critical defense and strategic weapon systems.
The position will be the Vice President and Segment Head of Lyn Aerospace, a sister company to Corvid Technologies. The role will provide executive-level technical and programmatic leadership, including identifying and pursuing relevant business opportunities individually and in collaboration with Corvid Technologies. The position will also support tasking, talent management and acquisition, financial reporting, and other relevant tasks typical of running and operating a small business unit. Candidate will have the support of both Lyn Aerospace as well as Corvid Technologies, and the ability to collaborate with various levels of leadership in both organizations to pursue technical programs of interest.
Requirements:
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and possess (and maintain) at least a SECRET clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in a related STEM discipline and at least 10 years of relevant technical experience, including 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience executing technical programs, ensuring deliverables are on time and schedule, and meeting or exceeding customer expectations, with a preference for candidates who have demonstrated growth in relevant programs."
- Experience working business development, capture, and/or proposal activities - specifically for topics related to range instrumentation or radar systems
- Demonstrated leadership ability, including supporting talent acquisition (and retention), leading development activities for team members, and generally providing leadership and mentoring to team members
Preferred Requirements:
- Master's or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or similar STEM discipline)
- Strong relationships with industry partners and customers in the Test Range Community and Test community, specifically supporting various MDA, Navy, and Army test efforts
- Strong technical experience related to the development and upgrading of various radar systems, specifically as it relates to test range capabilities
- Preferred candidate will be located in Rockledge, FL or Huntsville, AL and have the ability to travel as needed to various locations and test sites
