Professional management company is seeking an Community Manager with experience on LIHTC properties. Must have knowledge of initial certifications and annual recertifications, resident retention, reducing AR-aging concerns, managing waitlists, and aspects many additional aspects of compliance monitoring requirements.
Minimum 3years experience on low-income properties required.
Key duties include overseeing tenant relations, managing lease agreements, and facilitating effective communication between residents and management. They play a vital role in ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations, conducting income verifications, and assisting with the application process for prospective tenants. Additionally, the Assistant Property Manager collaborates with maintenance teams to address repairs promptly and manages financial aspects such as rent collection and budget adherence. This role requires a strong commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive living environment while navigating the unique challenges associated with affordable housing.
Job Requirements:
- 3 years of Property Management experience a MUST
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High-energy, hardworking, ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment with an excellent sense of urgency
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail and Internet and other Property Management systems
- Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) HCCP, NCHM or any other field related designation(s) preferred
