JOB TITLE: Title Clerk
The Title Clerk at Corwin Automotive Group is responsible for preparing tax and title documents to meet titling requirements pertaining to a particular state for our Fargo locations. The title clerk works closely with the titling team, accounting team, sales managers and finance managers within the dealership. This position requires a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare tax and title documents in a time sensitive manner to achieve or exceed title reporting standards and benchmarks.
- Submit legal transfer of documents for Department of Motor Vehicles on a timely basis – to not exceed 30 days.
- Apply for duplicate titles, Dealer for resale titles as needed- use all measures necessary to expedite the process if possible and ensure all documents are delivered to the Dealership.
- Address issues immediately to remain in compliance with state and lien holder requirements. Complex issues with be forwarded to a senior vehicle clerk
- Ensure all titling paperwork is filed in accordance with appropriate state deadlines.
- Excellent customer service is required to assist each customer with the best possible service. Prompt service dealing with customer phone calls is extremely important for customer satisfaction.
- Assist finance department with questions and customer issues.
- Maintain customer, vendor and employee confidence and protect operations by exercising discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Maintain ability to handle job stress and effective interaction with others in the workplace.
- Teamwork with title department, accounting office, finance, and sales department. Communicate and help each other as much as possible.
- Prioritize workload to ensure all duties are completed within deadlines.
- Perform all other job duties as requested by management.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and expectations.
