- Description of Construction Superintendent:
- The Superintendent is directly responsible for the proper construction of assigned building or buildings. He is to ensure that all assigned construction is completed according to plans and specifications, on schedule, and that the highest quality of workmanship is achieved without creating unreasonable cost. The Superintendent coordinates with testing agencies, subcontractors, the Construction Quality Control Manager and the Project Manager. The Superintendent is responsible to the Project Manager and Director of Construction.
- NOTE: A good Construction Superintendent is a good scheduler; schedule your work ahead of time.
- Property Responsible for:
- All property during building construction.
- All tools and equipment assigned to project.
- Basic Duties:
- Collects, reviews, and passes complete submittals to the Architect.
- Supervises all assigned carpenters, laborers, and equipment operators.
- Records the hours worked of all assigned personnel and records hours used of all assigned equipment.
- Ensures that all necessary tools and materials are available so that no loss or production time is incurred.
- Ensures that needed subcontractors as thoroughly briefed as to what is expected of them and at what time and location.
- Inspects receiving reports to ensure all assigned materials are received and made secure.
- Reports all subcontractor’s status reports no later than the 1st of each month.
- Schedules and coordinates any required testing with assistance from the Quality Control Manger.
- Schedules inspections as required by local governments and personally accompanies the Inspector with assistance from the Quality Control Manger.
- Conduct a complete final inspection of each completed structure prior to releasing subcontractor and with Owner, noting any and all deficiencies.
- Ensure Customer/Owner satisfaction by responding promptly to customer complaints and request.

i. Time Cards
ii. Expense Reports
iii. Purchase Orders
iv. Safety Meeting Reports
v. Subcontractor Pay Application Reviews
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
