What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installation Technician position at Cosm?
Summary:
Exciting travel opportunity for the right person looking to travel (Philadelphia, Atlanta, Detroit) for a few weeks / month. Travel costs, accommodation expenses and food per diem included. The role performs the tasks and duties assigned by the Installation Supervisor to aid in the installation of LED CX-Displays and Spitz projection screens for planetarium, digital theater, simulation, and architectural applications, both domestic and overseas.
Assist in loading and unloading of delivery vehicles at the job site.
Assist in frame assembly as directed by the Installation Supervisor.
Assist in panel installation as directed by the Installation Supervisor.
Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
Driver’s license
Can pass an FBI and State(s) background check A/R for public schools.
Preferred:
Passport
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification – Issued within the past 5 years.
Forklift Class I to VII – Issued within the past 5 years.
OSHA Scaffold Safety Certification – Issued within the past 5 years.
OSHA Aerial lift Safety Certification – Issued within the past 5 years.
Experience managing a construction crew.
Working Conditions
Construction Job Site environment.
On feet for up to 8-10 hours per day.
Climbing scaffolding towers and or decks several times per day.
Working at heights with proper PPE.
Use of power tools and hand tools.
Working in environments which are not climate controlled.
Heavy work: 51 – 100lbs (Occasionally): 26 – 50lbs (Frequently)
Travel – on location in LA, Dallas, or other sites for up to 2 to 3 months at a time for 2024. Will allow for fly-homes for holidays and special circumstances.
