Summary:
The Director of Operations has the responsibility to manage an array of multi-functional production units within the manufacturing facility. The Director of Operations directs daily activities through subordinate managers who have a goal to attain production goals consistent with cost, quality and delivery schedules established by the customer. This position interacts with senior management on many complex issues and deals with a large scope of employees.

Responsibilities
- Manage Production Department for efficiency, on-time delivery, cost control, and quality.
- Reviewing and maintaining open orders to plan, prioritize and execute production
- Areas of responsibility are: Material, Machinery, Manpower, Method
- Materials - Warehousing, Supply Chain Management, Scheduling, Receiving & Shipping, Inventory Control.
- Machinery: Manufacturing engineering specification, line setup and layouts, repairs & maintenance. Line Optimization
- Method/Process: Develop manufacturing standards & practices. Communicates and trains unit managers, department personnel and senior management.
- Manpower
- Employee & temporary worker staffing, Engagement, training and monitoring
- Employee motivation and encouragement.
- Employee counseling. Discipline include suspension and termination.
- Conducts one-on-one review with all direct reports to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, to address any work related issues and to provide insight for the improvement of their activity and performance
- Manage Multiple production lines, work cells and areas including scheduling, setup, job run monitoring, end of job line closure. Recording of run data, units completed and manhours. Report on variances, improvements, issues.
