Delivery Managers serve as the Chief Scrum Master across all delivery teams within a product. ROLE
- Helps with the allocation of resources and provides teams with the necessary support to remediate impediments and reported issues.
- Facilitates program increment (PI) sessions across all delivery pods aligned to a product, or value stream, and the accompanying planning sessions (pre and post PI planning sessions) .
- Works with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to plan release schedules across products.
- Supports product teams with the delivery of new features and capabilities while empowering them and allowing them to be self-organized.
- Leads program increment retrospectives to identify improvement opportunities that can be implemented to improve productivity.
- Monitors delivery team metrics to evaluate progress against delivery milestones (e.g., release burnups).
- Aggregates individual delivery pod status into portfolio-level risks, assumptions and interdependencies.
- Creates weekly reports highlighting the health of the overall delivery status to program leadership and various stakeholders.
- Leads regular “Scrum-of-Scrum” meetings with Scrum Masters from all product teams to drive alignment across. development activities and review blockers or impediments impacting team productivity.
- Coordinates the resolution of internal and external dependencies across value streams and shared services.
- Drives tactical day-to-day delivery process, including removing impediments that negatively impact productivity or block the team’s process.
- Ensures effective communication, collaboration, coordination and team engagement in initiatives that cut across portfolios and products.
- Creates and manages detailed project plans and reports critical paths.
- Supports problem resolution; resolves issues; and acts on feedback and usage of in-life products.
- Investigates, manages, and applies authorized requests for changes to base-lined requirements, in line with change management policy.
- Works with subject matter expertise to articulate high level technical status and provides status reports to the appropriate audience.
- Tracks, manages, mitigates, and documents risks and issues.
- Develops and establishes project budgets, manages changes, and tracks actual costs and variance to the approved budget.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of the projects.
- Manages clear and specific contractual terms for required project work with suppliers.
- Manages and escalates issues and concerns related to compliance and security to appropriate stakeholders.
- Sets clear expectations for self and the project team, and takes appropriate actions to ensure obligations are met.
- Facilitates periodic planning sessions across all delivery pods aligned to a product or value stream
- Supports the Product Owners and the Product Managers with the facilitation of system demos to demonstrate the integration of products to program stakeholders.
- 5 years of hands-on Project Management experience, utilizing both Waterfall and/or SAP project methodologies, demonstrating strong planning, execution, and delivery skills.
- 3 years of experience independently leading medium to large-scale Waterfall projects, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end project lifecycles and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with iSeries applications, SAP FICO systems (Financial Accounting and Controlling) will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of Resource Management and the value of effectively managing resources across multiple projects, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, leading, and delivering highly technical, complex IT solutions, coordinating across multiple business and IT teams to meet project objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), with hands-on experience leading development teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- PMP or SAP Activate methodology certification.
- Experience with DevOps, including CI/CD.
- Working knowledge of Service Now (Carts ) Portfolio and Program Management module.
- Experience working with Financial Control systems, SAP, iSeries, and various Material Management systems.
- Proficient in Google Workspace applications, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Gmail.
