The Cosumnes Community Services District is looking for a highly motivated, qualified individual to join our team as a full-time Logistics Coordinator in the Fire Department.
Position Description
Under general supervision, the Logistics Coordinator controls and participates in the procurement of supplies, materials, parts, and equipment. Incumbents are responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering materials, supplies, and equipment, and performing minor repairs on basic fire and emergency medical services (EMS) equipment.
Salary Information
The salary range for the Logistics Coordinator classification is between $27.19 - $38.26 per hour. The District typically appoints new employees at step 1 of the salary range. Consideration for an appointment higher than step 1 will be based on experience, education, or the need for unique skills or knowledge and shall be no more than the mid-point of the salary range.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Receives, identifies, stores, issues, retrieves, and delivers by vehicle : office, janitorial, EMS, and firefighting supplies, materials, parts, and equipment.
- Determines immediate needs and provides amount and cost estimates of future supply and material needs as required; purchases supplies in accordance with District purchasing policies.
- Ensures optimum levels of equipment and supplies and timely services by establishing area standards and performance goals.
- Provides courteous and professional service to all facility users, District personnel, and the public.
- Conducts work tasks safely and in compliance with Department safety standards and the District Injury and Illness Prevention Program.
- Inspects department equipment, ensuring appropriate function and adequate performance.
- Drives vehicles to make pickups and deliveries; may operate forklifts or other equipment to move heavy items; provides training and instruction to division personnel in the safe operation of forklifts.
- Generates updates and corrections to computerized inventory records showing items received, issued, and standard stock levels; may keep records on the location and status of fixed assets, posting stock transfers or the removal of equipment for repair or to surplus; takes or participates in the annual physical inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Utilizes inventory software to generate reports, research discrepancies to resolve errors, or determine inventory needs; administers user access and profiles.
- Maintains, processes, and distributes inventory of protective clothing and uniform apparel such as, but not limited to, t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, exercise apparel, and ball caps.
- Performs daily mail and / or supply distribution rounds between all Fire Department and other District approved locations as directed.
- Participates in department budget review, coordinating inventory needs are met.
- Performs periodic routine trips to area hospitals to retrieve District-owned medical equipment.
- Required to work a variety of shifts including, but not limited to early mornings, weekends, holidays, after-hours calls, or other needs of the department.

Qualifications
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities may be considered qualifying at the sole discretion of the District. The education or experience requirement may be modified or waived at the sole discretion of the General Manager. Typical Working Conditions
Work is typically performed in a warehouse environment on a year-round basis in various types of weather and temperature including seasonal conditions such as extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, and moisture. This position requires significant travel each day to multiple sites in a CSD vehicle. Some work is accomplished in an indoor office setting.
