Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership
Lead design concepts for commercial spaces, including offices, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and mixed-use developments.
Develop tailored furniture solutions that enhance functionality and aesthetics.
Collaborate with clients to create cohesive designs integrating furniture systems, finishes, and layouts.
Project Management
Oversee all phases of the design process, including space planning, design development, and construction documentation.
Ensure project milestones, budgets, and timelines are achieved without compromising quality.
Coordinate with furniture manufacturers, installers, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
Client Engagement
Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring alignment with their vision and functional needs.
Present design concepts, furniture layouts, and material boards, incorporating client feedback into final designs.
Technical Expertise
Prepare and review detailed drawings, specifications, and materials using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, CET (Configura), and Adobe Creative Suite.
Stay informed on furniture trends, building codes, and sustainable design practices.
Team Mentorship
Mentor junior designers, fostering creativity and collaboration.
Provide constructive feedback to support team growth and innovation.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
Certifications (e.g., NCIDQ, LEED, WELL AP) preferred.
Experience
7 years in commercial interior design, with experience working for a commercial furniture dealer.
Strong portfolio showcasing large-scale commercial projects and tailored furniture solutions.
Skills
Exceptional creativity with an eye for detail.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, CET, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong leadership, organizational, and presentation skills.
