Power BI / Data Analytics Developer - Financial Services Consulting
Boston, MA - Hybrid (3 days in office/2 remotely)
As a Power BI/Data Analytics Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data analytics initiatives across Capital Markets and other departments, ensuring solutions meet business goals. You will develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, connecting to data warehouses and SaaS applications via API connectors, while maintaining data accuracy and providing meaningful insights. Collaboration with business users to understand data needs and deliver business intelligence solutions is key.
You will write advanced SQL queries and complex DAX functions to create visualizations and perform calculations, offering actionable insights to meet reporting requirements. Additionally, you will contribute to the entire SDLC, from gathering technical specifications to development, testing, deployment, and support. You'll work with System Administrators and Data Engineers to optimize the performance of Power BI dashboards, ensuring they meet user and business expectations while adhering to data governance practices.
The role requires hands-on experience with Power BI/Tableau, SQL, and strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts. Familiarity with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, and programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala for data analysis, is advantageous. Financial data expertise, along with certifications like Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate and experience in agile/scrum environments, will also be highly beneficial.
