COTSWORKS seeks a Human Resources Coordinator to support our exciting and growing Mil/Aero market for in-house designed and manufactured optoelectronic products and solutions

The HR Coordinator owns the delivery of specified HR activities and processes for HR’s Shared Services programs and processes. The HR Coordinator’s primary role is to support the operation of COTSWORKS’ HR Department, programs, and processes in a well-organized, efficient, and precise manner. This role also provides administrative support to HR’s Shared Services function, which includes record-keeping, file maintenance, logistics planning, scheduling, and HRMS management. The role is varied in tasks, deadline-driven, and demands exceptional time management and attention to detail. The individual in this role exemplifies the core values of COTSWORKS and exercises excellent judgment and decision-making abilities when responding on behalf of the department and company. This role is highly interactive and requires confidentiality, a personal touch, and a calming presence when interacting with employees at all levels of the organization. This position suits an individual interested in developing a career in Human Resources. This full-time salary position reports to the Chief People Officer (CPO) and is performed onsite at our Cleveland-area office. Due to classified work at our facility and related access restrictions, successful applicants must maintain U.S. citizenship (No green card or visa) for this job.

COTSWORKS, INC. designs and manufactures rugged optical components and subsystems to operate in harsh environments. Products are utilized worldwide in commercial and military aerospace and tactical, oil and gas, and other industrial markets. Your tasks include the following:

• Works with the HR Team to successfully implement HR programs, processes, and systems administration.
• Works with the HR Team to successfully execute its recruiting, hiring, and new hire onboarding processes.
• Works with the HR Team to ensure all benefit plans are administered according to federal and state regulations and plan provisions are followed.
• Assists the HR Team by coordinating and following up on HR-related events, activities, and meetings.
• Performs duties while consistently applying the company’s policies and federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Demonstrates an ability to deal with confidential information appropriately, diplomatically, and with integrity.

Qualification requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or organizational development with one (1) year of experience performing in an entry-level HR role (within a manufacturing environment preferred).
• Proficient with standard office productivity tools and equipment (i.e., Microsoft Suite, HRMS).
• Well-developed organizational, time management, detail-oriented, and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a multi-task, fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Highly competent in writing, verbally communicating, and presenting to various audiences.
• Highly customer-oriented and can build collaborative relationships while working with diverse groups, internally and externally.
