COTSWORKS is seeking a Production Kitter to support our exciting and growing Mil/Aero market for in-house designed and manufactured optoelectronic products and solutions.
The Production Kitter is responsible for the flow of supplies and components to the production floors. This position plays a vital role in the quality control of products, the efficiency and productivity of operations, and the company’s ability to meet its customer requirements. This role works with production and engineering to ensure their material needs are effectively met. The position works onsite at our Cleveland-area office. This job is a full-time, second shift position with an hourly pay range of $18.50 to $26.00 (based on skills and experience). Due to classified work at our facility and related access restrictions, successful applicants must maintain U.S. citizenship (no green card or visa) for this job.
COTSWORKS, INC. designs and manufactures rugged optical components and subsystems to operate in harsh environments. Products are utilized worldwide in commercial and military aerospace, military tactical, oil and gas, and other industrial markets. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility produces over 100,000 mission-critical rugged optoelectronic and interconnect products yearly. The company maintains a quality program with ISO 9100:2015 AS9100D Certification and ATEX Compliance.
Your tasks may include the following:
· Organizes and stocks inspected components on inventory shelves, recording the product locations in the ERP system.
· Prepares production kits with components and supplies, ensuring all part numbers and quantities match job requirements and all relevant POs and Lot Numbers are recorded whenever necessary.
· Delivers production and assembly kits to the appropriate production floor and ensures technicians have all the necessary materials to complete jobs.
· Supports the process of cycle counting inventory and maintains inventory accuracy through proper recording and tracking of transactions.
· Monitors and maintains non-inventory items through a Kanban system, requesting reorders when necessary.
· Supports Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Coordinators with packaging and labeling of finished goods as required.
· Supports Fiber Optic Technicians as required to maintain the flow of kits on the production floors.
Qualification requirements include:
· High School diploma or equivalent education or training (i.e., GED or Military Training).
· Previous shipping and receiving experience.
· Proficiency with standard office productivity tools and equipment (i.e., basic keyboarding skills, Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel).
· Proficient in writing, verbally communicating, and presenting to various audiences.
· Proficient interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with others in a positive, calm, and patient manner.
· Proficient in analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills.
· Proficient organizational and project management skills to manage competing priorities in a multi-task, fast-paced environment.
· Ability to effectively manage time, meet daily schedule requirements, and set priorities based on management direction.
· Handles, counts, and organizes small electronic and mechanical components with hands and appropriate equipment and tooling.
· Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
· Conducts oneself with a high level of professionalism and personal integrity.
