Role Overview
Summary: Responsible for maintaining stock areas including stocking parts, sorting and preparing orders, pulling, stocking, kitting and labeling parts and taking to designated areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
- find stock locations, part availability, and perform “where used” inquiries
- stock incoming parts from receiving
- perform cycle counting
- complete short fills for production floor
- complete computer transactions for moving kits production floor
- set up stock locations, change stock location in computer for new or existing parts
- create labels for new parts
- maintain inventory of parts
- sample counts with inventory auditors
- disposition of non-conforming or obsolete material
- purge parts from stockroom
- resolve routine inventory adjustments
- locate and utilize Stockroom Work Instructions
- identify different component types and polarity markings
- follow requirements for 1st pc audits
- perform 1st pc. inspections for kitting
- uses proper material handling, kitting and stocking techniques, including First-In-First-Out (FIFO)
- use proper procedures for “Limited Shelf Life” materials and handling
- complete special tasks or assignments (ex.: cycle counting) as requested by the area Team Leader
- pull parts from stockroom and overflow locations based on pick list
Qualifications
Qualifications: to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The Team Member must be able to maintain confidentiality and have good judgment. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Training requirements: Team members will be required to attend various training classes to ensure adequate knowledge of company specific information, customer, regulatory, and other requirements as determined by job process, Standard operating procedures or other elements as required.
Physical Demands: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by Team Member to successfully perform of the essential functions of this job.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
Constantly stand, walk, finger 90-100% of the time; frequently stoop, crouch, reach, lift, grasp, talk, hear 60-90% of the time; Occasionally climb, balance, push, pull 30-60%
Visual Acuity: The Team member is required to have close visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned. Ability or increased ability to see color, or perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions.
Work Environment: The Team member is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not room temperature changes, there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to increase volume in order to be heard above ambient noise level. Team Member is occasionally subjected to hazards from climbing 30-60%
The Team Member is required to work overtime on an occasional basis.
