Cottage Grove Place is recruiting for a hospitality focused Dining Services Supervisor to join our team! The Dining Services Supervisor works to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Health Center, Memory Care, and Skilled unit kitchens for the ultimate health, comfort, and benefit of residents. Responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness. This person is a key member of upholding the Community’s mission, philosophy, values and the Company’s vision, principles, and Hospitality Promises.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities:
- Responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and lower-level dining rooms.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive, professional, and upscale culinary services program to create and maintain a positive experience for all customers.
- Supervise the kitchen staff. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.
- Aides Dietitian in palatability of menu and recipes. Responsible for assessing the quality of standardized recipes and working with the Dietitian to improve, while still maintaining the nutritional content.
- Responsible for overseeing the inventory. Must order inventory, as well as make sure that the proper levels of inventory are maintained and stocked to make sure ingredients are available for food preparation.
- Responsible for stock list budget report and variance report.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree (in culinary arts program preferred)
- Successful completion of recognized food safety course
- Minimum of three years’ experience in administration and management of food service systems
- Senior living community experience preferred.
Salary Ranges: $45,000-$55,000 Annually.
