Assistive Technology Consultant
Cotting Consulting is an outreach program of Cotting School. Cotting Consulting offers a client-centered approach to meet the technology needs of students within classroom settings. Our individualized approach is designed to facilitate curriculum access and functional independence for even the most complex students across various school districts in Massachusetts.
Position Summary: Join our team of experienced clinicians (SLPs, OTs & Educators) providing Assistive Technology Services to school districts within Massachusetts. This dynamic and flexible position is centered around the IEP as you assist teams & students with evaluation, consultation and ongoing training to facilitate the technology strategies using the SETT framework.
Position Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
●Provide evaluation, consultation, and intervention in the domain of assistive technology to Cotting Consulting’s client base
●Support students with a broad range of disabilities
●Collaborate with school educational teams and families
●Administer evaluations and complete necessary reports
●Assist in the development of IEP goals and objectives as appropriate. Report to parents and public school personnel on the progress of students
●Maintain a professional level of knowledge and skill with regard to subject matter, clinical methods and the physical, emotional and educational needs of children assigned
●Deliver services, reports and presentations in a way that reflects the positive, professional image of Cotting School and Cotting Consulting.
●Serve as a positive role model for all students in terms of manner, appearance, attitude, and knowledge
●Maintain professional growth through regular attendance at in-service session workshops, seminars, and conferences as needed
