We are seeking an Event Manager who enjoys organizing memorable events to join our Captives team! You will work directly with the Senior Event Manager and Captives Event Team to create seamless and impactful events like Board Meetings, annual Safety Conferences, and other professional events.

What You'll Do
- Venue and Service Negotiation - Organize important meetings and conferences through research to find the best places that fit the event's needs, budget, and number of attendees. Negotiate prices with venues and service providers like hotels and transportation.
- Event Communication - Create and send out invitations, schedules, and reminders through email, newsletters, or event apps. Set up and manage event websites to help people register and find event information. Handle participant sign-ups and respond to any questions about the event.
- Event Coordination - Create detailed orders with venues for food, drinks, room setup, and extra services. Arrange technical needs like microphones, projectors, and lighting. Organize logistics such as accommodation, transportation, catering, signage, displays, and security, ensuring everything is ready and runs smoothly.
- Budget Management - Create and manage event budgets, making sure all costs are covered and stay within limits. Oversee financial tasks like tracking payments, sending invoices, and managing expenses.
- Event Support - Attend meetings and conferences to be the main contact between the client and the venue, ensuring smooth communication and quick resolution of any issues. Be on-site to help with any questions or concerns, providing prompt support for a smooth experience. Coordinate with hotel and venue staff to manage services, address last-minute changes, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 5 years previous experience with event planning
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Experience managing multiple events while maintaining quality
- Must be able to travel internationally with availability needed on nights and weekends
- Salary – Flexible based on your experience level.
