Job Summary

We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Floral Designer with a minimum of 5 years professional experience in the floral industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating designs, managing our physical and online store operations, and ensuring that every customer’s floral needs are met with elegance and precision.  

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Arrangement:
  • Creating customized funeral floral arrangements
  • Customize arrangements to meet specific client requests and event themes.
  • Stay updated with current floral design trends and techniques.
• Funeral Arrangements
  • Specialize in creating respectful and beautiful funeral arrangements, including casket sprays, wreaths, and sympathy bouquets.
  • Work closely with funeral directors and clients to ensure arrangements are appropriate and delivered on time.
• Client Interaction:
  • Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Provide professional advice on flower selection, arrangement styles, and color schemes.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high quality and timely floral arrangements.
• Flower Care and Maintenance
  • Select and purchase flowers and greenery from wholesalers or growers.
  • Ensure proper conditioning, hydration, and storage of flowers to maintain freshness.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality and appearance of floral displays in the shop.
• Event Coordination:
  • Collaborate with event planners, venue coordinators, and other vendors to ensure seamless execution of floral designs.
  • Coordinate the delivery and set-up of floral arrangements for events.
  • Manage on-site installations and adjustments as needed.
• Store Management:
  • Oversee the daily operations of both the physical and online stores
  • Manage inventory, ensuring that the store is well-stocked with fresh flowers and floral supplies.
  • Manage budgets for floral materials and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Train and mentor junior floral designers and assistants.
  • Work closely with other team members to achieve overall business goals.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving services and operations.

• Online Store Management
  • Manage the online store, including product listings, pricing, and promotional activities.
  • Ensure timely processing of online orders, coordinating with the delivery team for efficient and accurate deliveries.
  • Optimize the online shopping experience, including website updates and enhancements.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Floral Designer.
• Skills:
  • Proficient in various floral design techniques and styles.
  • Strong knowledge of flowers, plants, and floral supplies.
  • Experience in creating funeral floral arrangements.
• Management:
  • Experience managing a physical and online store.
  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
• Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Technology: Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and basic computer skills.
• Creativity: Highly creative with keen eye for detail and design aesthetics.

Salary range: depending on experience
