Job description
The Early Childhood Floater supports the Teachers and the Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. The Floater will be responsbile for assisting the staff in implementing a quality educational program. Floaters are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on childrens interests and needs under the direction of the Teachers and the Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
- Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
- Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to childcare center.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Participate in training sessions, workshops and staff meetings to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.

4 weeks paid vacation after 6 months of employment
Qualifications:
- Experience in early child education preferred.
- Working towards a degree in education or a related field preferred.
- Must pass BCIS background check and fingerprinting
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
