Core Responsibilities
- Serve on the leadership team to provide guidance on the organization's overall branding and marketing strategies
- Develop and execute communication and marketing strategies that promote the organization’s mission, programs and services.
- Oversee the creation of engaging content across various platforms, including websites, social media, and marketing materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all channels.
- Manage public relations efforts, including press releases, media outreach, and event coordination.
- Analyze market trends and audience insights to inform communication strategies and improve engagement.
- Utilize SEO best practices to enhance online visibility and drive traffic to digital platforms.
- Lead the design and production of promotional materials using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Monitor the effectiveness of communication campaigns through analytics and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Stay current with industry trends in digital marketing, e-commerce, and advertising to ensure innovative approaches.
- Stay informed of developments in the fields of marketing and communications, not-for-profit management and governance, and the specific services provided by COSA for the purpose of using this information to help the organization operate with initiative and innovation.
Qualifications - Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a marketing and/or communications leadership role with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and techniques, including SEO, WordPress, and e-commerce platforms.
- Exceptional copywriting skills with a focus on creating compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Strong understanding of product management principles as they relate to communication strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- A results-driven mindset with analytical skills to measure success.
