Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality outpatient care to clients. This role is essential in supporting individuals in their mental health journey and improving their overall well-being through effective treatment plans and patient care.
Position Summary: The Licensed Therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT), under the supervision of the Clinical Director, provides individual, family, and group therapy to meet caseload requirements for clients. Responsible for updating treatment plans, and discharge summaries within established time frames and formats. Is a liaison with families, outside agencies, and referral sources. Responsible for assessment, design, structure, and implementation of therapy services to best meet the needs of clients and families.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Assess the mental and behavioral health status of referred clients.
2. Provide counseling/talk therapy to scheduled clients utilizing professional counseling standards.
3. Formulates individualized service plans for clients under care.
4. Identify clients with urgent mental health conditions (e.g. suicidal, homicidal, psychotic, etc.) and make appropriate referrals to available emergency or psychiatric treatment facilities.
5. Provide daily written document of counseling sessions, assessments, interventions, and recommendations using Lauris Online.
6. Provides group and family therapy session as indicated.
7. Participate in a team management approach to client care/treatment.
8. Maintain appropriate documentation of clinical and counseling services, including all necessary billing information.
9. Maintain and update professional knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings and workshops.

Position Qualifications: Require Current certification or licensure by the State of Virginia (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT), or under supervision pursuing licensure for LCSW, LPC, or LMFT

5. Interact effectively and professionally with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, education, racial, ethnic and professional backgrounds.
6. Communicate effectively, clearly, concisely with others (internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing); to consistently demonstrate positive/proactive client service attitude; to consistently maintain ethical behaviors exemplary of quality public service or fair standards, inclusively, among all employees and members of the public.
7. Work as an effective team member; function independently, exercise sound judgment and initiative.
