We have an opening at our Tulsa location for Human Resources Director. A Bachelor's degree in a Human Resources discipline or equivalent/related experience is preferred. A minimum of two years professional human resources or related experience preferred. Specializing in a minimum of two of the following areas: completion of strategic planning initiatives, recruiting initiatives including utilizing web-based venues including social media, employee relations activities such as conducting investigations, unemployment responses. Monitoring, problem solving and developing plan to address compliance concerns, such as conducting audits or addressing compensation equity concerns.
The starting salary for Human Resources Director is $84,000.00

- Ensure compliance in all areas of Human Resources are adhered to, e.g. benefit/retirement related audits, reporting, notifications and disclosures, DOL, EEO reporting. Worker’s Compensation reporting, and I-9 auditing.
- Plans, organizes, and hands-on completes day-to-day recruiting, employee relations and regulatory activities of the department including organization work and completing related filing through effective utilization of own time.
- Demonstrate drive, ability to influence and/or partner with supervisors to recruit, provide consultation and resolve conflicts as well as assist in developing employee satisfaction and retention initiatives. Expedites follow through with supervisors as needed for employee relations and recruiting concerns as well as associated documentation.
- Participates in facilitation of new employee orientation process and ensures staff expectations are met.
- Gathers information and prepares various weekly, monthly and quarterly reports routinely and promptly as scheduled or other reports as requested, quarterly report to the Board, performance management, recruiting activity, etc.
- Develops, reviews, updates, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures. Also completes an annual review of all HR policies and procedures.
- Assists supervisors with job descriptions, learning plans or corrective action documentation as needed.
- Proactive in monitoring fair and equitable treatment of staff across the agency, including compensation, training and promotions, escalating concerns to supervisor and/or the Executive Director.
- Effectively responds to potential situations that may arise regarding activities impacted by law regarding stop destruction orders to appropriate staff when a potential legal issue may surface.
- Fulfils supervisor responsibilities to direct report staff, for example, tracking attendance, providing guidance/training, performance evaluations, ensuring mandatory training is completed, monthly reports and department productivity.
- Identifies training opportunities and/or facilitates training for employees and/or supervisors. (A,B,C,D,F) 13. Gathers and/or conducts wage and salary reviews as appropriate and compiles data for report.
- Practices and promotes the Sanctuary model seven commitments: nonviolence, emotional intelligence, social learning, open communications, social responsibility, democracy and growth and change.
