The Staten Island YMCA - Counseling Service is seeking a Program Director. The general responsibilities of the Program Director are to ensure that all necessary day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and clinical operations are being fully executed by the clinical, volunteer, and support staff of the South Shore Counseling Center’s Treatment Programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for oversight of the day-to-day programmatic, clinical, fiscal, and administrative operations.
Ensure program-wide superior Quality Assurance and Program Quality through contract and regulatory compliance, fulfilling OASAS and agency standards, and utilization of evidence-based/best practices.
Develop program census through outreach, coordination, coalition participation, and creation/maintenance of strategic partnerships.
Research new funding opportunities and develop/implement new program initiatives and program curriculums.
Perform all staff/volunteer recruitment, development, supervision, and management responsibilities.
Manage unplanned events in relation to staffing, facilities, crises, and general program operations.
Deliver direct services and maintain a caseload with accurate, comprehensive, and timely record-keeping when required.
Participate in supervision, training, Association Cabinets, citywide YMCA meetings, Island-wide Y groups, community/statewide coalitions, and other groups that deal in the program services area that the agency delivers.
Develop, coordinate, and facilitate educational workshops, seminars, and trainings for staff, community, and clients.
In conjunction with the Senior Program Director, Executive Director, and maintenance staff, ensure that the buildings are safe, reflect trauma-informed environments, and meet requirements for contracts and program services/best practices.
Develop, maintain, and manage program tracking reports, including, but not limited to, census, quality measures, and clinician performance.
Uphold all Association and Branch policies and demonstrate the values of Respect, Responsibility, Caring, and Honesty in performing all duties.
Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling (or a related field). LMSW, LMHC, Advanced CASAC, or a related degree is preferred.
Three (3) - five (5) years of experience in the addiction field.
Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience and three (3) years of clinical experience.
Three (3 ) years of experience in social services/substance use disorder treatment.
Three (3) - five (5) years of experience in fiscal management, financial development (annual), program planning, and quality assurance preferred.
Knowledge of prevention, treatment, and recovery systems of care.
Knowledge of mental health/co-occurring disorders and person-centered treatment.
Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment.
Knowledge of trauma-informed care, child welfare systems, court systems, and available resources/referrals preferred.
