CSSM is offering a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 with up to $250 paid on the 1st paycheck and up to $750 paid at 6 months employment.
Counseling Services of Southern Minnesota has served the southern Minnesota regional area’s mental health needs as a community-based agency since 1997. Our highly skilled, passionate, and caring professionals provide psychotherapy, psychological assessment, rehabilitative skills for adults and children, and clinical consultation to community entities.

Adult Mental Health Rehabilitative Services (ARMHS) Practitioners teach and instruct individuals with qualifying mental health diagnoses behavioral skills to assist them in increasing their capacity for independent living and improve their quality of life. Successful ARMHS services result in individuals improved emotional and mental health to regain or maintain their stable functioning.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Create, review, and update Functional Assessments and Individual Treatment Plans
- Provide skills training sessions to clients in the home or community settings
- Documentation of service provision and collateral contacts
- Coordination of care with client’s care team
- Participate in individual supervision and ARMHS program meetings
- Complete ongoing continuing education
- Maintain consistent scheduling with clients across CSSM’s service area
Some areas of focus within ARMHS include but are not limited to: Communication/social skills, community resource utilization, symptom management and relapse prevention, budgeting and healthy lifestyle practices, household management, and employment-related skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Passionate about assisting individuals with mental illness improve their capacity for independent living and improving their quality of life
- Experience providing service to individuals with mental illness; familiar with mental illness
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to be a self-starter
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
